lesbianismo, feminismo.

The heterosexual regime and the nation. Contributions of feminist lesbianism to antropology

Abstract: Lesbian feminism, as a theoretical political
trend of feminism, has suggested analyzing heterosexuality
as a political regime, based on the ideology of sexual
difference as its ontological grounding. Through critical
discourse analysis, this thesis shows how this regime articulates
itself with the nation, especially in the Political
Constitution of Colombia of 1991, its supreme law. Basing
as well on the theories of women, gender and feminist
anthropology, political anthropology and marxist theory,
specifically from Antonio Gramci’s concept of hegemony,
the authoress shows- through analysis of categories such
us women, man, family, kinship and nationality, among
others- how this regime is included in the written and
legal discourses both in the constitutional text and in the
arguments expressed by constituents at the National Constituent
Assembly that led to the Magna Carta. The author
proposes what she calls Domination Anthropology, which
consists in uncovering the ways, strategies and discourses
that define certain social groups as “others” (specially women
and lesbians) from power and domination positions.

Key words: Nation, heterosexuality, feminism,
lesbianism, constitution.
ER -
